Seanchoill senior winter league 08

-

THE people behind Seanchoill, the state-of-the-art all weather sports facility in Corbally, contacted Post Sport this week with notification that they are inviting all clubs to participate in the Winter Senior Hurling League, due to take place over a 14 week period from early December. With many suitable attributes to cope with the typical Irish weather, this is an ideal venue to host such an event as it offers a full size floodlit pitch of the highest quality along with a range of other services available to users.

With opportunities for up to 30 teams to participate, the series will be played over a four month period from early December. Seanchoill envisage holding the competitions on Saturdays and Sundays pending the rota and will arrange match officials for each game.

Participation in the league also offers clubs a unique opportunity to raise substantial funds. Participating clubs can advertise the games and take at the gate for the games in which your club is involved. In addition to this, Seanchoill are funding prize money of 7,500 euro for the teams that reach the final with the winners taking home a 5,000 euro purse from the final.

With already substantial interest in this winter league, places are restricted and interested parties should contact Tom Buckley on 086 320 6500 at Seanchoill All Weather Astroturf Pitch asap.
