Moving hearts in concert

ONE of Ireland’s most influential bands Moving Hearts and special guests take to the stage at UCH on Saturday September 12 as part of their “Unfinished Business” tour. This ground-breaking band, who have inspired many well known traditional musicians to follow in their footsteps, are famous for their thrilling live performances since coming on the scene in 1981.

The recently reunited line-up includes renowned producer and composer Donal Lunny (Planxty, Bothy Band) on bouzouki, the legendary Davy Spillane

(Bryan Adams, composer & solo recording artist) on uillean pipes, Eoghan O’Neill (Chris Rea) on bass, Keith Donald (Louis Stewart, Gerry Mulligan) on saxophone, Noel Eccles (RTE National Symphony Orchestra, Riverdance, Sting) on percussion, Liam Bradley (Van Morrison, Boyzone) on drums, Anto Drennan (The Corrs, Genesis) on guitar and Graham Henderson (Sinead O’Connor, Paul Brady) on keyboards.

Performing tunes from “The Storm” album and other recordings for which they are well known and hugely respected for this concert is not to be missed. Special guests Iarla Ó Lionáird (Afro Celt Sound System) on vocals and Máirtín O’Connor (Riverdance, De Dannan) on accordion.
