IMRO Live Showcase

GIVEAMANAKICK front man and founder Steve Ryan hailing from Limerick, returns to the big bad world of record releases with a new single from his new band Windings. The lead track Brain Fluid will release on Out On A Limb Records on April 16and will be followed by a heap of live dates throughout April and May.

The track will feature on the new Windings album, which is due for release in October 2010. Steve began Windings in 2005 as a side project, a vehicle to vent his musical alter ego, while still busy with Giveamanakick. Windings self titled debut was released in 2005, to much applause, singles of the week here and there and lots of live shows, including a slot at Electric Picnic. The new album promises to coax with pop lullabies and thrash with almost- metal moments of musical mayhem.

Windings are Steve Ryan, Liam Marley, Aaron Mulhall, Patrick O’Brien and Steve Purcell. Catch them live at the IMRO Showcase tour when it visitís Dolanís on April 24. Also on the bill are the Brad Pitt Light Orchestra, Nick Carswell and the elective orchestra and the Supermodel Twins. The IMRO Showcase Tour has given a platform to numerous new Irish bands since it began in 1992 and has catapulted many of Irelands hottest Irish acts into the limelight including Fight Like Apes and Delorentos.
