Blues, rock and jazz singer Conor J Ryan returns to Dolan’s Upstairs venue on Saturday March 12 with a serious band line up. He’s accompanied by Bryan Meehan, sax; Peter Hanagan on base, Darragh Keary, piano; David Keary on guitar and percussion with John Daly. Take a seat for Ryan’s new phrasing and arrangement with classics such as Billie Jean, Superstition, At Last and It’s a Man’s World. €10.

A NEW children’s website will launch in the Belltable Arts Centre on Monday next, March 7  in association with Mollymoo.ie. The website www.childrensgallery.ie will provide a dedicated interactive platform where the artwork and the creativity of Irish children can be showcased and celebrated nationally.
The site will host an online gallery, where children themselves, parents and teachers will be able upload the creative work of children from all over the country.
Contributors can scan, photograph and post their children’s artwork or their own artwork from when they were a child. Artwork will be searchable by age, by year, by county, by schools and by media type. Monday 7 at 11.30am, 69 O’Connell Street if interested in the workshop held with this launch, the first of such monthly events.

ex-Kila’s Rónán O’Snodaigh
LOFT Venue at Locke Bar will host a trad concert night on Wednesday March 9 at 8pm. Rónán O Snodaigh was born on the first of January 1970 and grew up in an Irish speaking family in Dublin.
“He began playing the bodhrán at the age of 12 and has developed a variety of musical expression since,” the Locke Bar tells us. “Rónán was an integral part of the street music scene that erupted in Dublin in the late 80’s and has been a central member of the band Kila since  it formed in 1985”.
O’Snodaigh occasionally organises musicians to perform and record his own songs under the name of Tonnta Ro and has been involved in a wide variety of rhythm pageants, brightly coloured processions, dance shows and performances

Corridor Art Programme
MEMBERS of Corridor Art Programme have been great role models to other young people for their effort in connecting communities and their collaboration for the betterment of the city. The crew will be rewarded with a special celebration for its effort and commitment to the mural work in the corridor of LEDP, Galvone (beside Aldi).
Mayor Maria Byrne will officially open the Corridor on Tuesday March 8.
The young people involved in the work in the corridor are inviting sponsors,  volunteers, youth leaders, youth groups and any interested agencies who would like to meet the young people on the evening.
Refreshments will be served.
