After Dark – Couture and Culture Fashion show in Adare

A SPECIAL evening took place last week which marked the launch of St. Nicholas School in Adare’s ‘200 Years’ calendar of events. The night was a Limerick City of Culture 2014 event as part of the annual calendar with special guest and Lady Dunraven (patron) celebrating the rich history and culture at the school.
The celebrations took place with a delightful ‘Couture and Culture’ fashion show last Thursday 27 evening in the Dunraven Arms Hotel.
There was plenty of familiar faces from Adare spotted supporting the show including many from the business community as the stylish guests arriving enjoyed a drinks reception before the main event.
Richard Lynch of ‘I Love Limerick’ played host to the elegant evening which featured models from the Holman Lee Agency who modelled a range of designs from some top boutiques from Adare, Annacotty, Killaloe and Newcastle West . Isobel’s of Adare, Sinead’s Boutique of Annacotty and Serendipity shoe boutique of Adare and Roches Street in Limerick were but some of those participating.
The beautiful models gave those attending the show plenty of inspiration for the season ahead, showcasing looks from the boutique’s Spring and Summer 2014 collections.
The event also boasted plenty of entertainment and a fundraising raffle that included a top prize of the ‘Top to Toe’ makeover under the guidance of style guru Celia Holman Lee and afternoon tea at the exclusive 5-Star Adare Manor Resort. All donations raised on the night will now go towards the Alzheimer’s Centre in Adare.
