INDIE Week Ireland, happening this year in Limerick, have chosen the 30 competition bands who will appear at the four day festival at the end of the month. A record number of bands applied for the competition. The most entries in festival’s six year history. The bands are from all around Ireland, with musicians also selected from England and Canada. There is a strong Limerick representation with four of the selected bands coming from Limerick city, namely Raging Sons, Monday Villains, Going 90 and Siobhan O’Brien.

Indie Week Ireland 2014 runs from April 23 – 26 in four venues around Limerick, Dolan’s, The Blind Pig, Cobblestone Joe’s and Bourke’s. The prize for the winning band is a headlining gig, flights and accommodation at the Indie Week Canada Festival in Toronto.
