THEATRE at The Savoy moves into its third year with a return visit from Galway based Fregoli Theatre Company. Again, it’s a piece scripted by Maria Tivnan, or three pieces this time around: a collection of monologues, called ‘Shur I’ll be Alright Here on Me Own’.

Performed by Mary McHugh, Tracy Bruen, Kate Murray and Oisin Robbins, the three characters who address us are Mrs Pyromaniac, Headfirst and The Sole Collector. There are two directors to this work, Rob McFelly and Kate Murray.

PayDay Productions operates at The Savoy and manager Colm O’Brien is upbeat at the April choice: “Fregoli Theatre Company delighted our audiences in the past two years with offerings such as ‘The Sweet Shop’ and ‘Let Me Be’.

“This month’s show, comprised of three monologues, is brand new writing that will debut in Galway just before travelling south and promises to alternately surprise and delight our loyal followers.

“Our job is to have our audience lose themselves for one hour each month and we know Fregoli will help us do just that.”

Regulars know by know that the early slot books out almost a month in advance but cancellations can occur. Join the Limerick audiences at Savoy Hotel this Thursday April 24, Friday 25 can opt for soup and sandwiches at 1pm theatre or  for a glass of wine at 6pm show, €12 all in; tapas €5 option.
