Joel Coustrain, who is currently with English League One club Sheffield United, started the game and played for 84 minutes, giving a very good account of himself and almost finding the net with a late chance.

Limerick FC’s Ross Mann, who has featured intermittently for the Super Blues in their Premier Division campaign this year, played for 20 minutes in the win over the Dutch, coming on as a substitute for Reece Grego-Cox.

A 25th-minute penalty from Eoghan Stokes was enough to give Paul Doolin’s young charges victory against a Dutch team managed by former Champions League winner Aron Winter.
