Culture Night launched with Urban Horses

The Urban Horse Herd is gathering for public notice at People’s Park, Culture Night on Friday 19, 6pm. City of Culture chairman Pat Cox has launch honours for this Legacy project, a 16 strong community-wide one led by artistic director, Angela Connolly of Limerick Corridor Art. The theme is ‘Individuality and Identity’ and People's Park will graze 15 horses. Each is handmoulded and then crafted with collage, paint, stencils and emblems to create a visual language symbolic of its makers' group.
