Busy night for emergency services

Screen shot 2014-12-11 at 15.40.14LIMERICK city fire and rescue had a busy overnight on Wednesday when they were called to a large warehouse fire in the city.

At 2 am. the emergency services responded to reports of a large warehouse on fire on the Ballysimon road. On arrival fire crews found the Ballysimon crash repair warehouse ablaze.

Limerick City Fire crews backed up by fire crews from Rathkeale, Cappamore And Shannon battled the blaze and it was brought under control at around 5am.

Crews remained on the scene for a time dampening down. The cause of the blaze is still unknown.

Limerick city firebrigade also responded to storm damage on the Condell road at 515 on Thursday morning.
