Game Over Ball Burst – Super Bowl XLIX

Screen shot 2015-01-29 at 09.58.53AS USUAL, at this time of year, I am trying to spread the Gospel that is NFL. American Football to the uninitiated.
Super Bowl XLIX, or 49 takes places this Sunday night in Arizona.
Last season’s champions the Seattle Seahawks take on the New England Patriots.
If you are a huge fan of the game, then you know this SuperBowl is going to be something special and I know you won’t be coming to this column to get your NFL SuperBowl preview, so enjoy the game and we can chat next week.
For those who have little or no interest, then this is the game for you.
American Football is classed by some, including me, as the best team sport in the World. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not the best sport, but it is the epitomy of a ‘team’ sport. Where every single action, by every single player, can have a huge impact at any one time.
This weekend’s game see the best defence in the league, the Seahawks, take on the best offence, the Patriots.
The sub plot to this game is that one side is young, powerful and aggressive, while the other is lead by the best quarter back in the game, Tom Brady, and coached by one of the best ever, Bill Belichick. They may be older and wiser and not as fast, but they are close to genius in how they get things done.
So, if you are a rookie to this game, sit back and relax. Watch the game, but more importantly listen to the analysis of the game. They are the best in sports at explaining everything to a new audience. Throw in the half time show with Katy Perry and you can’t but fall in love.
