HUNGARIAN maestro Gábor Takács-Nagy ends his journey with Haydn and Irish Chamber Orchestra on Friday March 6 with two of his sensational violin concerti.

“Fellow compatriot and extraordinary violinist, Kristóf Baráti performs the virtuosic First and his Fourth – which is courtly and grand,” reports Charlotte Eglington for the orchestra. ”Beethoven’s ‘Grosse Fugue’ was radical and visionary stretching instruments to their limit. Much anticipated is Gábor’s reading of Bartók’s ‘Divertimento’, his beautiful farewell to Hungary is one of the most demanding works for string orchestra”.

Book at www.uch.ie and at box office for the concert hall, March 6 at 8pm for this second ICO date of 2015.
