Kileely Road closed following two car collision

THE Kileely Road, adjacent to St Lelia’s church has been temporarily closed to traffic this Wednesday night following a two car collision.

Shortly after 9pm the two cars were involved in a collision at the section of road between Hogan and Smith O’Brien avenues.

Two tenders from Limerick City and County fire and rescue, together with two ambulances are attending the scene and treating the persons involved as Gardai cordon off the area.

Diversions off the Kileely Road for through traffic are in place with accessibility through Hogan and Smith O’Brien avenues.

Gardai from Mayorstone are at the scene and motorists are advised to temporarily use alternate routes on the Northside of the city for accessing parts of Thomondgate, Moyross and beyond to Knocklisheen, Parteen and Ardnacrusha.
