MUSIC Factory in Summer is an exciting creative music camp for children (8-12 years) which takes place from Monday July 20 to Friday 24 on campus at UL at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance.
‘Gulliver & Beyond’ is the theme for this year’s camp as children journey beyond the realms of fairytale, beyond the lands of Lilliputians and Giants, through music, song, dance, visual art, puppetry and musical theatre. Camp hours will run from 10am to 3pm and no previous music experience is required.
This year’s creative team is led by Irish Chamber Orchestra’s violinist, Diane Daly. Tutors include singer/ actress Jean McGlynn, singer Kathleen Turner, dancer Jenny Brown, artist Lisa Cody and percussionist Boris Hunka, alongside a host of professional musicians from the ICO and Music Generation.
