A FIRE has caused extensive damage to a house on the North Circular Road in Limerick this Tuesday morning.

Three units from the Limerick City and County Fire and Rescue service were supported by two units from Shannon after the alarm was raised around 7am at Hazelwood House.

Extensive damage was caused to the upstairs and roof as it is believed the blaze took hold in the attic area.
