A COMPANY has been ordered to pay €47,000 to the Revenue Commissioners for filing incorrect returns relating to the tax due from a property sale.
Ger O’Loughlin Holdings of 49 Catherine Street, Limerick, made a €254 corporation/capital gains tax return relating to the sale of a €900,000 property.
At Limerick Circuit Court this week, Judge O’Donnell was told that the revenue declaration should have been just over €113,000. PAYE and PRSI amounting to just over €46,000 was also outstanding bringing the total amount due to more than €159,000.
After hearing that the respondent for the company was not in court, Judge O’Donnell granted the determination order and awarded costs for the case to counsel for the Revenue Commissioners.
