Body recovered from Shannon

  AS part of a multi agency operation involving local search and rescue crews including Limerick Marine Search and Rescue and Bunratty Search and Rescue, the body of a female has been recovered from the River Shannon at Bunratty this Friday shortly after 4pm.

The discovery was made as part of two searches for females missing since last month. 

Gardai, Limerick Fire and Rescue service and HSE paramedics had been involved previously and this Friday the remains of the woman have been removed from the scene and brought to the University Hospital Limerick for identification and post mortem.
