‘SAVING The House of Delmege’ sounds like a blast almighty. This is “a melodramatic comedy in two acts” devised by a new community group working out of the area of Moyross. The Hunt Museum will be performance venue on Friday July 10 at 7pm, Saturday July 11 at 3pm.

Monica Spencer, herself an actor, writer and festival organiser of repute, is manager of this group that first came together under Limerick City of Culture auspices. Mike Finn and Helena Enright, each local and both playwrights and actor/ producer themselves, mentored Moyross Community Drama last year.

What are we to expect from this turn of the 19th century farce, ‘Saving the House of Delmege’? There are rumours of trickery, social climbing and promiscuity, so what’s not to love about this costumed menagerie?
