Limerick Mothercare store to close

-

CruisesStreet THE Mothercare branch on Limerick’s Cruises Street is to close early next year, with the possible loss of up to seven jobs.

Mothercare Ireland has announced that the city centre branch was one of three stores set to close as the High Court approved the company’s exit from examinership. Its remaining 15 Irish stores, including the second Limerick branch in the Crescent Shopping Centre, will remain open.

Mothercare Ireland entered the examinership process in July in a bid to restructure its business and secure its long-term future. It has also secured a 30 per cent rent reduction on all its Irish stores.
