BLESSED with extraordinary singing voices, an animated rapport with the audience and each other, and the ability to sing in divine harmonies, The Priests are back with a Christmas concert. On Tuesday December 8, UCH will host Fathers Martin O’Hagan, Eugene O’Hagan, and David Delargy who are looking ahead to releasing a fifth album early next year.

Their debut record, ‘The Priests’, sold 3million copies, securing them a place in the Guinness Book Of World Records for the Fastest-Selling Classical first album of all time.

They have since been nominated for a Classical Brit Award for three consecutive years and in September 2010, they shared the stage with Pope Benedict XIV in London’s Hyde Park to an audience of 80,000 while millions watched on TV.

They continue to play concerts each year in Europe and the USA and manage to balance their performing with ordinary Parish life.

“We enjoy singing enormously”, says Fr Eugene, “We realise that commercial projects often have a shelf life, however, we would very much like to continue doing this forever.

“I certainly know that Martin, David and I will continue to sing, whatever comes, because it gives us such pleasure to do so”.

Our pleasure it is to be entertained by them. Open up and out the Christmas season with The Priests at UCH.ie on December 8.
