ACCLAIMED television chef Catherine Fulvio will be bringing a taste of Italy to county Limerick next week when she cooks up some winning recipes for Crecora National school.

Catherine will hold a cookery demonstration in the Woodlands House Hotel, Adare at 7.30 p.m. on Thursday January 21 when she will share a few tips for home cooks to shine in the kitchen.

The school needs funds urgently after a recent upgrade of its information technology system and eventually saying goodbye to its old Windows XP network.  In another future-proofing exercise, the school also changed its lighting to LED, which is cheaper and more efficient.

But the changes, although necessary, have been expensive and the school needs to cover the cost.

As well as the cookery demonstration, the Adare fundraiser will also include a raffle for a treasure trove of prizes and Catherine will have her books for sale, which she will be happy to sign. A wine reception will get proceedings off to a good start.

Tickets can be bought for €25 and are available from Orla on 061 355228.
