THERE’S not long to go until pantomime season in Sixmilebridge as the local youth club takes to the stage with its production of ‘Peter Pan’.

This popular show will take place over the last two weekends in February, with 8pm starts on Friday 19, Friday 26 and Saturday 27. The performance on Saturday 20 is a matinée beginning at 6pm.

“More than 60 young people from Sixmilebridge are set to dazzle audiences with captivating musical numbers, sensational dance routines and, as always, witty and lively comedy,” reports their Dame, the seasoned, gifted Liam Togher.

Their pantomime follows the story of Peter Pan, the boy from Neverland who remains forever young. Peter returns to see his friend Wendy after 60 years only to find that she has grown old, but a younger Wendy and friends accompany Peter on adventure in Neverland. Danger lurks with the devious Captain Hook and pirates.

Tickets for a modest sum are selling in ‘Bridge shops and through production / youth club members.
