THE new tour from Dublin comedy trio Foil, Arms & Hog is ‘SkiddlyWup’ coming to Limerick this weekend.

‘SkiddlyWup’ examines why having a permanent audience in your living room is ‘en vogue’ today. The trio investigate what happens when a white Irish secret agent is sent undercover in Africa to blend in, when two bouncers go on a date.

Nominated in 2015 for Ireland’s best YouTube channel, Foil Arms and Hog’s online videos are growing ever more popular. Five of their videos have been featured by the US comedy website Funny or Die. The weekly videos are a very important calling card for the trio, as Conor explained to Limerick Post.

“For the Internet, you have to be regular with content. From our office every week we write on Monday, shoot on Tuesday, edit on Wednesday and upload it on Thursday morning.”

Foil, Arms & Hog work from an office in an industrial estate in Dublin, clocking in and out 11am to 7pm daily between accountants and tile importers and a car mechanic. The regimen of weekly YouTube clips works really well for the comedians as recent hilarious and tightly edited sketches such as ‘Never Take an Irish Person Literally’, ‘How to Speak Dublin’ and the topical ‘Election Time in Ireland.

“As a comedian, sometimes you can pretend to wait for the day when you will get inspiration but in reality you need to work to a deadline like everyone else.”

On the Jimmy Fallon show in 2013, Jimmy and Justin Timberlake recorded a sketch known as ‘Hashtag’. The sketch has to date garnered  more than 15 million hits. However, it was pointed out online that Foil, Arms & Hog had done a very similar sketch the year previous. The story became the No.1 upvoted item on Reddit worldwide and was covered in national and international press.

Foil, Arms & Hog will perform in Dolans, Limerick www.dolans.ie on Saturday March 12.
