Annie Get your Gun shoots the breeze at concert hall

FAN tailed head-dresses, dancing girls, cowgirls and Men Wearing Stetsons enlivened the media launch of Limerick Musical Society’s latest production.

Dolan’s Bar was the familiar supportive venue for news of ‘Annie Get Your Gun’, set to shoot out the concert hall later this month, Thursday April 28, Friday 29 and Saturday 30.

Metropolitan Mayor Jerry O’Dea was favoured with launch honours, and yes, a stetson for this Des Henn directed wagon. Furthermore, LMS cracked on the whip with a table quiz on site led by  Tony Cusack, pantomime supremo and general good egg.

Look forward to 70 on stage with AIMS winning Niamh Twomey choreographing the action and Maire Keary-Scanlon over chorus and music. Music accompaniment at UCH will be courtesy of a 10-piece band.

The cast reads; Annie Oakley (Hilary Orpen), Frank Butler (Richie Hayes), Dolly Tate (Olivia Parkinson), Buffalo Bill (Steven O’Brien), Charlie Davenport (Aidan O’Connell), Pawnee Bill (Patrick Woulfe), Chief Sitting Bull (Glen Carr) and Wilson (Adrian Egan).
