Limerick Food Group is calling for applications from local food businesses for a Limerick Street Food Event taking place in the city centre on Thursday 16th June.
‘Urban Food Fest’, a family friendly event, will take place in the Milk Market from 6pm until 10pm. The Milk Market will be transformed to create a unique and festive evening atmosphere that will showcase some of the best food and drink Limerick has to offer.
The event will be open to the public with free entry, and attendees will purchase tokens as currency to enable them to sample taster plates from various producer stalls. Applications for stalls are now open, and those with offerings that complement the theme are invited to apply.
Inspired by the culture of international street food, the food offering will also have an Irish twist and everything will be local from Limerick.
Application forms can be received by emailing limkfoodgroup@gmail.com or contacting Limerick Food Group through their Facebook group, which is always open to new members.
Limerick Food Group is a voluntary group of people working with food in Limerick and wanting to promote it together. Since the start of the year, they have been encouraging people to use the hashtag #bialuimnà online to support Limerick food.
