Ormston House presents visual artists ‘in conversation’

title-the-murder-machineORMSTON House is hosting an in-conversation event between visual artists Linda O’Keeffe and Sean Taylor, SoftDay productions, this Thursday 9 at 6.30pm at Patrick Street.

Linda O’Keeffe’s newly commissioned work ‘My Voice Is Still Lost’ was added to the evolving ‘Murder Machine’ project in May. This is curated by Christine Eyene in collaboration with Ormston House and in partnership with EVA International and Making Histories Visible.

‘My Voice is Still Lost’ explores two different pieces of text relating to Ireland’s transition from a colonised space to a free state and the impact this had on Irish society and Irish women.

The texts are ‘The Murder Machine’ by Pádraig Pearse (1916) and Irish Declaration of Independence (1919).

In conversation event: Thursday 9 June, 6.30pm. Admission is free.
