LIMERICK band, The Flag Listeners, release their first single, ‘Birds Fly’ at The Kasbah Club, Dolan’s this Saturday July 9.
A video for the song, shot by well known local film-maker, Shane Serrano, will have its first screening on the night.
The single comprises two songs ‘Birds Fly’, written by Eamonn Hehir and ‘Well Played, Mr. Lemmon’, written by John Steele. Both songs will be well known to Flag Listeners fans. They are among a number of songs recorded in AP Studios, Dublin, last Summer. Admission is free and doors are at 9.30pm and as regulars well know, this band plays nice long sets including songs from Eamonn Hehir’s and John Steele’s solo work and perhaps a Toucandance classic or two. And of course, music from The Flag Listeners debut album due for release in the coming months.
