THE LIMERICK minor hurlers will face either Tipperary or Galway in the 2016 ESB All Ireland Minor hurling final on September 4. Pat Donnelly’s men qualified for their second All Ireland final in three seasons, following their 1-18 to 0-15 win over the Dubs yesterday.

Limerick, driven on by man of the match Brian Ryan, came out of the blocks early, running up a first half lead which Dublin never recovered from. A first half net rattler from Cian Magner-Flynn, was the boost Limerick needed following their loss to Tipperary in the Munster final. With no minor title since 1984, Limerick will be joint favourites with whomever comes through next weekend’s clash, following this stellar performance.

Scorers for Limerick: Brian Ryan 0-10 (0-5 frees), Cian Magner-Flynn (1-1), Kyle Hayes, Anthony Barrett (0-2 each), Finn Hourigan, Mark O’Kelly (free), Conor Boylan (0-1 each).

Scorers for Dublin: Colin Currie 0-8 (all frees), Johnny McGuirk 0-2 (0-1f), Ciaran Dowling 0-2, Conor Burke, Eoin Foley, Daire Gray 0-1 each.
