A 17-YEAR-OLD teenager is in custody with gardai after a member of the public apprehended the youth during a burglary at a house in County Limerick.
The teenage boy was captured during a burglary at a house in Pallaskenry at around 5am this Thursday morning.
Gardai are questioning the youth in connection with the burglary as well as in connection with five other incidents where cars were tampered with.
It is understood that the homeowner heard the disturbance and apprehended the teenager who is from Limerick city.
He managed to detain the youth while raising the alarm with gardai.
Gardai in Newcastle West have the youth in custody for questioning and a number of statements have been taken in connection with the six alleged incidents.
