uhltrolleyPLANS to have the new emergency department at the University Hospital Limerick open in March have suffered a set-back.

The new target date for the opening is now in May, two months later than originally anticipated.

And management at the hospital have begun an aggressive recruitment campaign to ensure that the necessary staff will be in place by the new opening date.
