‘AN Evening with Jimmy Webb’ will be the first time the Richard Harris International Film Festival celebrates its gala night with a concert. Webb’s pulling power is immense as songwriter, but the man is an accomplished singer and entertainer in his own right, the piano his forte.

You know his platinum-rich hits written for Glen Campbell that are themed by place names (‘Galveston’, ‘Wichita Lineman’, ‘By the Time I Get to Phoenix’); his musical theatre magic (Richard Harris’ ‘Camelot’ and then ‘MacArthur Park’), Barbara Streisand’s ‘Didn’t We’.

Jimmy Webb has released 10 solo albums since the 1970s and his latest CD ‘Just Across the River’ features duets with real star power. He laced in Linda Ronstadt, Willie Nelson, Billy Joel, Lyle Lovett, Carly Simon and more.

Limerick Post has three sets of tickets to raffle in competition for ‘An Evening with Jimmy Webb’, at Lime Tree Theatre on Saturday October 29 at 8pm. On a postcard, write to Arts Page, Limerick Post at 97 Henry Street before Friday October 14 with the answer to:
