“I suggested Pieta House for this year’s charity fundraiser” Claire McNamara told us “as they are an organisation very close to a lot of people’s hearts, who rely heavily on donations; the work they do is phenomenal.  Climbing Croagh Patrick on their behalf was an amazing experience; it was very challenging but knowing that it was for such a worthy cause, we all pulled through it.”

An early 6am start on the morning of the climb saw 23 participants board a bus in Raheen to make their way to the foot of Croagh Patrick in Co. Mayo.  A vigorous hike paid off when the team reached the summit and, according to Thomas Foley, were “rewarded with magnificent views of the surrounding Co. Mayo”.

“I am delighted by the show of support from our clients, suppliers and local businesses” said Ger Burke, Operations Director at Arise, “we’ve been inundated with donations from Vodafone, Saorview, Zagg, Cregg, Kedington, IRC, Green IT, Group 4, Eyrco, Cemac Office Solutions, VHI, Jobs.ie, Ratio Vending, Banner, Pinnacle, Bloomers, ISS, DHL, MPCC Credit Union, Coca Cola, Irish Merchants, CPL, Ryan’s Centra Raheen and Delish.  Their generosity has been overwhelming”.

So much so that the team didn’t throw in the fundraising towel after completing the Croagh Patrick climb on 3rd July; a series of events were held to raffle and auction the remaining donated prizes in the months that followed.

Joe Cahalane, Managing Director at ARISE agrees and highly commends the team, saying:
