A FULL salon for  theatre when it is 24Celsius and life on the deck at home has sundrenched appeal? Congrats to Tiger’s Eye for its debut production on Sunday when it staged ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ to capacity at No. 1 Pery Square – indoors and out.

There’s a joie de vivre to this show directed by  Shane Hickey O’Mara. Each of its adorably tight and passionate cast give it a blast.

Act 2, the meeting between rival sweethearts Cecily and Gwendolen that triggers an immediate set-to between the two Earnest Worthings, plays out in No. 1’s garden marquee. The balmy backdrop belies the ferocity of feelings.

For all that and many, many laughs, this is a seriously polished, goodlooking production.

Go see tonight Monday 19 and again Sunday 25, 7pm start. Book in advance on tigerseyetheatrelimerick@gmail.com
