LIMERICK Jigsaw has put its final piece in place and celebrates the opening its doors to the Limerick community this week.

With any jigsaw, putting the final pieces in to place and completing the full picture can be a moment of real satisfaction, this is what It was like that for the team at Jigsaw Limerick, when after months of planning and organising, they finally opened the doors at their Arthur’s Quay House, Limerick office the organisers say. 

Jigsaw is a free, non-judgemental and confidential mental health support service for young people aged 12 to 25 living, working or studying in Limerick. The group also provide guidance for anyone concerned about a young person, and workshops across the community to open up discussions on mental health.

“We know Jigsaw is already making a difference to the lives of young people in Limerick, those crossing the threshold are leaving stronger and better able to cope. Since opening in late June, 55 young people have been referred to our service.

“Collaboration with other local support services has played a vital role in Jigsaw Limerick coming together, and we look forward to building relationships and working together to make Limerick a healthier place for all our young people,” said a Jigsaw Spokeswoman.

Jigsaw Limerick has begun to put together a Jigsaw Limerick Youth Advisory Panel, a group of passionate youth volunteers aged 16 to 25 who advise and support the team in their work. People interested in taking part in the advisory panel can contact Jigsaw Limerick at limerick@jigsaw.ie
