CLUB Limerick and Limerick senior hurlers have teamed up with St. Francis Boxing Club to host a fundraising night of boxing on Saturday, December 9 at the South Court Hotel.

The 2018 Senior Hurling campaign is kicking off and as part of the preparation, the Limerick squad have taken to the gym and are preparing for a fundraising night of boxing.

Team manager John Kiely said that the players are working very hard in the gym under the guidance of Joe O’ Connor and the pitch sessions will start in December.

“2018 promises to be a very exciting campaign for our senior hurlers with the new Championship format including four guaranteed matches in Munster, two at home to Tipperary and Waterford and two away to Cork and Clare.  They are determined to be the best prepared team and this requires excellence in many areas including gym work, pitch sessions, diet, medical, video analysis and much more.

“To achieve these levels of excellence, we need the help of our supporters.”

“We are asking for their support by way of sponsorship of each bout, each boxer and by way of advertising on the night, full details are available from Siobhan at 061-335516 or email info.clublimerick@gaa.ie
