€5.8 million Limerick lottery win

A lucky Lotto player in Limerick has hit the jackpot after winning last night’s €5,868,553 million top prize.

The winning ticket was sold in the General Post Office (GPO) on Cecil Street in Limerick city and is the eleventh Lotto jackpot won this year, with total winnings of €65 million.

The €5 Quick Pick ticket was sold yesterday. This is the second Lotto jackpot won in Limerick in 2017, after a €3 million jackpot was won in September.

The winning Lotto numbers were: 04, 16, 18, 24, 32, 35 and the Bonus number was 46.

Speaking on the latest Lotto jackpot win, NationalLottery chief executive Dermot Griffin said: “We’re advising all of our Limerick Lotto players to check their tickets this morning to find out if they have won this life-changing prize.

“If you are the lucky ticket holder or holders, sign the back of the ticket and contact the National Lottery Prize Claims Team on 01 836 4444.I am looking forward to welcoming the winner into the Winners Room in Lotto headquarters soon”.

Approximately 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes to projects in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts and heritage with more than €5 billion has been raised for good causes since the National Lottery was established 30 years ago. In 2016 alone, the National Lottery raised over €213 million for these projects.
