Visitors to travel and leisure website Ireland.com have voted Limerick couple Rebecca McMahon and Aidan Ryan as the ‘Best Dressed Couple’ at this year’s Galway Races. As part of Galway Race Week, Ireland.com photographed over 50 couples at the races on Thursday July 29.

Visitors to the website were then invited to view the photo gallery and select their favourite couple, with Rebecca and Aidan receiving almost 20 per cent of the public votes. Rebecca, from Hospital, Co. Limerick wore a striking pink dress from The Moderne ladies fashion store in Cork city, with matching pink corsage and short-sleeved black blazer.

Aidan wore a black suit with blue open-necked shirt. Rebecca and Aidan will enjoy a weekend break at the Clayton Hotel, Galway as part of their prize. After their win, Rebecca and Aidan said “We are shocked and delighted to win this prize – a big thank you to everyone that voted for us. We come to Galway for the races every year but this is the first time that we have ever been entered into a best-dressed competition!”
