CITY Council have taken steps to install CCTV cameras at the Skatepark in Mount Kennett.

In recent weeks, the Limerick Post, in a series of reports, highlighted complaints from residents and skateboarders on alleged anti social behaviour in the area, with some local businesses claiming that turnover had been affected because of unruly behaviour.

Former Mayor, Kevin Kiely, in an interview with the Limerick Post, said Mount Kennett skatepark should never have been built. "It's a headache and it's a disaster", he commented.
