Nightmarish souls for Hallowe’en The next challenge is the preparation of Tim Burton’s A Nightmare before Christmas - and Hallowe’en is when the curtain goes up. This theatre group produced ‘Les Miserables’ in UCH, ‘CHESS’ and ‘A Night at the Musicals’ in CentreSPACE Studios and staged RENT in the LIT Millennium Theatre. and see website www.belltable.ie for more. “Downes exploded onto the British Jazz Scene playing with the band Empirical, taking him through Europe and America, and then with Troyka, Fraud and Acoustic Ladyland,” says Limerick Jazz Society, host organ. “Two years on, Kit moved on to his own trio project and this debut album sees him developing as a strong voice both as a performer and composer”. He will be joined in Dolan’s by his two Royal Academy colleagues, award winning bassist Calum Gourlay and rising drum star James Maddren.
