A SMASH hit when at the concert hall a month ago, violinist Vladimir Jablokov returns to UCH on Friday 16 to headline the nostalgic magic of ‘A Viennese Christmas’. This extravagant production was a sell-out sensation when performed last year on nationwide tour of Ireland and at Dublin’s National Concert Hall. 2011’s ‘A Viennese Christmas’ invokes the salons and music halls of Strauss’ Austria through The Slovak Festival Orchestra and its eight family Jablokov members.

Joining this force led by the wild-haired Vladimir is tenor Sean Costello, star of the Mario Lanza tribute concert, ‘The Loveliest Night Of The Year’. Sean is accompanied by soprano Claudio Boyle for carols and festive favourites.
Expect a festive upbeat night reminiscent of the salons and balls of Austria before the empire crumbled. If you favour the music of ‘Blue Danube’, ‘Radetzky March’, ‘Vienna City of Dreams’, ‘O, Holy Night’ and more as part of this  two hour programme of Viennese and Christmas specials, attend to UCH this Friday 16 at 8pm. Book online or at the box office.

Violinist Vladimir Jablokov, soprano Claudio Boyle and tenor Sean Costello will deliver an elegant night of nostalgia.
