THE deadline is fast-approaching for entrepreneurs who wish to share in the Impact Media Elevate Award 2009, with a fantastic business-boosting prize worth €120,000.

Judges Oliver Moloney of Instore, Michael Kearney of The Carlton Hotel Group and Niall McGarry of Impact Media are standing by to find Limerick’s best new business. Already, entries are at record levels and there are just days to go to the closing date of Tuesday, October 27 next.

New Limerick businesses, or entrepreneurs who are just starting out with an idea they believe can make the grade, are urged to log onto www.impactmedia.ie, if they don’t want to miss out on their chance to win a complete marketing, web, PR and advertising package from Impact Media; print services from Castle Print; advertising the Limerick Post and Live 95fm; legal expertise from RDJ Solicitors; and photographic services from Viewmaker.

The awards are open to businesses in Galway and the huge prize fund will be split evenly between two lucky winners, one from Limerick and the other from Galway.

Once all applications have been assessed, six short-listed entrants from each region will be invited to make their pitch in front of the judging panel. After those intensive pitching sessions, three finalists from Limerick and three from Galway will be invited to the gala awards ceremony at the Carlton Castletroy Park Hotel on December 3, where the identities of each region’s winners will be revealed.

See press advertisements for full details of the Impact Media Elevate Award.

Standing by to separate the best business start-ups from the non-runners: Judges for the 2009 Impact Media Elevate Award, L-R: Oliver Moloney of Instore; Niall McGarry of Impact Media with Munster Rugby hero and Impact Media director Jerry Flannery with Michael Kearney of The Carlton Hotel Group.
