| Girl questioned after device discovered |

GARDAI have detained a teenage girl after she was found in possession of an improvised explosive device. The device was discovered when the girl was stopped by gardaí in St Mary's Park at around 8pm last night. The IED was made safe after an Army Explosives Ordnance team was called to the scene. The teen is being detained at Henry Street Garda Station while Gardai continue with their investigation.
