They started with a SPIN Pink Paper clip and the first swop was on Friday on SPIN Hits with Seamus Barry. By the end of the month SPIN is hoping to end up with a holiday, maybe a car or who knows??? It’s all up to the listeners!
Programme director Nessa McGann at this Raheen based radio station explains the concept.
“Just for fun we’re asking everyone in the South West to take part in this and to offer something they could swop and become part of the largest Swop Shop in the Country. It can be anything at all. We are expecting very interesting and exciting offers!”
So far, SPIN South West has had offers of girlfriends, condoms, kangeroos and an engagement ring. The first swap of the month for the SPIN Pink Paper Clip was for a professional photo shoot. For a bit of fun in January, if you’ve got something you think you could swop, then be sure to tune in each day.
SPIN South West is the number one radio station for 15-34 year olds in the South West region.
