GARDAI are investigating a motorbike accident in Co. Clare that resulted in the death of a man on Saturday afternoon.

The 35-year-old died after his motorbike hit a ditch at Ballaghafadda West outside Clarecastle just after 1pm.

The man was taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Ennis but was pronounced dead on arrival.
