UPDATE
Following an incident in the St Mary’s Park of Limerick, a man has died following a shooting incident. The Gardai launched and investigation but it is believed that an accident with a firearm is the result of the man losing his life. It is understood a man was found on the floor of a house in St Munchin’s Street.

The man was taken, in critical condition, to the Mid Western Regional Hospital but died a short time later.
Gardai sealed off the area and a technical examination is to be carried out later.
