The Limerick men had a job of getting Dunne to his ideal fighting weight stress free, which was achieved, and then to refuel him over the next 24 hours making sure he could sustain a 12 round fight. The job also entailed monitoring his daily food intake making sure he had adequate amounts of nutrients to help him train up to three times a day. His food intake was crucial to maintain strength and endurance as well as a good mental attitude for him to continue on this training journey right up to the night of the fight.
The Limerick duo are now officially part of Team Dunne. The Dubliner could not be in better hands. Blue Shinnors is a six times Mr Ireland and won sixth in Mr Universe, while Jason Kenny is a world master at Aikido. On a final note, Bernard Dunne wishes to thank all the Limerick people who travelled to the 02 for the World title fight, it meant a lot to him to hear their support. With the manner of the victory and with more fights to come, Blue and Jason might just be Vegas bound this year.
