Limerick band top the list at Coca Cola Blast Beat finals

Limerick band “Better Than You!” were announced better than all the rest in Cork last weekend at the Coca Cola Blastbeat regional finals. The new five piece Rock/Pop band to hit the Limerick scene over the last year have an exciting new sound that incorporates catchy melody and harmony lines, dirty rock and roll guitar parts with pulsing bass and drum lines.

This group of Limerick secondary school students is made up of Conor Ryan (Vocals), Mike Hogan (Guitars), Alan Keary (Bass/Vocals), Myles O’Callaghan (Drums/Vocals) and David Collins (Keyboards/Vocals)

‘Better Than You’ has grown a huge reputation over this  last year, from sharing the stage with the multi platinum selling giants “The Blizzards”, to playing in front of over 2000 people at the sensational music festival ‘Cois Farraige’ in Kilkee Co Clare in ’08. They were a huge hit recently as part of the St Patrick’s Day float with Limerick’s CentreStage Theatre School in the Limerick City parade.

Earlier this year the band won the Limerick heat up against eight of the regions best new bands, Better Than You, came out on top and are now straight into the National Finals in Dublin this month.
