Ryanair blames tourist tax for cuts at airports

RYANAIR have stated they are to slash 36 weekly flights from their winter schedule at Shannon.
The airline said they would also cut base aircraft at Shannon from four to three and their Dublin aircraft from seventeen to sixteen.

Ryanair said that these cuts would result in the loss of 300,000 passengers and 300 jobs at Shannon Airport.
Ryanair chief executive Michael O’Leary said the winter cutbacks can be reversed if the Government scraps the €10 tourist tax.
