More arrests in Cronin murder inquiry

GARDAI have arrested a second man as part of the investigation into the murder of James Cronin in April of last year.

The 20-year-olds body was found in a shallow grave close to the railway line at Caledonian Park. He had been shot in the head before his body was dumped on waste ground.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday night and is being detained at Henry Street Garda Station.
He can be held for up to a week under the provisions of the Criminal Justice Act.
A 24-year-old man arrested on Monday as part of the same inquiry is being held under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act has had his time in custody extended.
