Dragons Den star challenges region

SEAN Gallagher of the Dragonโ€™s Den will challenge business people of the Mid West to put their money where their mouth is during Mid West Regional Business Week 2009.

Business gurus gather for regional business week

Minister for Trade and Commerce, Mr. Billy Kelleher TD will perform the official opening of inaugural Mid West Regional Business Week this coming Monday October 5 at 2 p.m. at the Westpark Business Campus, Shannon, Co. Clare.

Following on from the official opening, Vincent Browne of TV3โ€™s nightly current affairs programme and columnist with both the Irish Times and the Sunday Business Post will chair a discussion panel on the topic โ€œDoing business in the Mid Westโ€ – the issues facing this region and how these may be addressed.

This discussion panel will include Minister Billy Kelleher T.D, Brian Oโ€™Connell MD of Westpark Shannon Ltd and member of the Government-appointed Mid West Task Force., Dr Maria Hinfelaar President of Limerick Institute of Technology, Brendan Kenny CEO of the Limerick Regeneration Project and Rory Oโ€™Connor former CEO of Hewlwett Packard. With his many years in the media and his confrontational questioning style, Browne will ensure to deliver a very focused and thorough discussion with the panel.

The inaugural Mid-West Regional Business Week will take place from Monday 5th โ€“ Friday 9th October 2009 with an extensive programme of seminars, workshops, networking events and expos addressing relevant business topics.

Speakers set for Network Limerick

NETWORK Limerick monthly meeting is participating in the Mid West Regional Enterprise Week and on Tuesday October 6 between 8.00pm โ€“ 9.30pm at The Strand Hotel, they will host two speakers as they share their thoughst and experiences.

Jon Kenny will entitle his talk on โ€œEmbracing change, overcoming adversity and starting over againโ€.

Anne Hession, vice president of Network Irelandโ€ˆwill discuss, โ€œWhy Network?โ€
